The Gambling Act allows for clubs to run their own in house fantasy league competitions without requiring a licence as long as the competition is not run remotely (e.g. online). Therefore if you are running or thinking of running an in-house fantasy sports competition by using a free system that allows you to maintain the competition but does not take payment and you subsequently take payment directly from your participants you may be breaking the law. The simplest and easiest way to avoid this is to use ClubFusion to operate your competition, not only do we have a valid operating licence we also reduce the administrative burden placed on the club organiser.

Email address is mandatory and critical to the success of the competition as the system will automatically send an email to playing members giving them the opportunity to opt out of their performance data being included in the competition and automatically invite all of your playing and non playing members to enter a team. Additionally a user's email address will link their player profile with their user account when they enter a team and create their own user account. A members email address will only be used to communicate imformation about ClubFusion and your competition. Email addresses will not be shared with third parties unless specifically permitted by the holder of the email address.
